Robert "Bob" Aaron

Robert “Bob” Clark Aaron Sr., 75, of Leavenworth, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at Twin Oaks in Lansing. He was born Oct. 17, 1937, at St. John Hospital in Leavenworth, the son of George “Clark” and Frances T. (Schmidt) Aaron.

He graduated from Immaculata High School in 1955.

On April 4, 1964, Bob married Cecilia Joanne Downing at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Basehor, Kan. She survives at the home. He is also survived by a daughter, Janice Aaron; a son, Robert (Amy) Aaron Jr.; two grandchildren, Colton Aaron and Chyanne Aaron; a sister, Mary (David) Thompson; 10 nieces and nephews; and12 great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by is parents.

Bob was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Eagles and Leavenworth County Farm Bureau.

Bob was a Dairy Farmer for over 50 years. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather.

Visitation beginning with the praying of the rosary will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Rev. Phillip Winkelbauer as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Luke’s Hospice or Sacred Heart Church.
