Patricia A. Bradley

Patricia A. Bradley, 68, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2011. She was born Jan. 14, 1943, in Monterey, Calif.

As her father was in the US Army, she had fond childhood memories from his service abroad, especially Japan. She spent her teen years living in western Kansas. She was a creative and talented artist and later attended the Kansas City Art Institute before settling in the Leavenworth area. She retired from Lansing Correctional Facility as its first female Captain. She continued to serve the community at Lansing High School until the fall of 2008.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kristen B. Davis in 2003 and her parents, Donald R. Miller and Beth Miller-Harrison.

Pat is survived by her sons, Wayne G. Bradley of Kansas City, Kan. and Dallas D. Bradley of Lansing, Kan.; and a brother, Robert W. Miller of Ft. Worth, Texas; she was Grammy to seven grandchildren, Dustin, Christopher, Josh, Jake, Kalyn, Zach and Tana. In recent years, Pat came to know several more biological siblings and family members.

A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home, 4701 10th Ave., Leavenworth, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The National MS Society - Mid America Chapter, 7611 State Line Rd, Suite 100, KCMO, 64114.
