Gary Bradley

Gary Wilson Bradley, 68, passed away suddenly Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 at his home in Kansas City, Mo.

Gary was born Oct. 12, 1943, in Tucson, Ariz., reared in Cassville, Mo, graduating from Cassville High School in 1961. He attended Southwest Missouri State University, served in the United States Army and was self-employed most of his adult life. He was currently employed at Volvo and Ranch Mart Hardware. Gary was an honorary Warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. Dad was not only a father to us but a second father to countless other kids in our lives! Buddy Blackman, a family friend, stated: 'Gary was the patriarch of a wonderful family. He left behind nothing but warm memories and big shoes to fill. He seemed to have a love for life that I pray I can experience someday. All I know is that the world would be a better place if more people lived like Gary Bradley.'

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Cindy; his son, Jason and wife Candace of Louisburg, Kan.; daughter, Jennifer and her fiancé Paul Carroll, of Los Angeles, Calif., Jennifer and Paul are to be married Sept. 21, 2012, in Winters, Calif. He is also survived by sons, Jonathan Bradley (Cristina) of San Diego and Jordan Bradley (Nichole) of Kansas City. He leaves four very special grandchildren, Kieran, Olivia, Samuel and Abigail Bradley of Louisburg, Kan., his sister, Frantine Shepherd of Joplin, Mo, nieces, nephews and numerous other family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at the R. L. Leintz Funeral Home. Graveside service and military honors will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
