Albert Fink

Albert P. Fink, 91, of Leavenworth, passed away peacefully, Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, at his home. He was born Sept. 11, 1924, in Leavenworth, the son of Leo and Edna (Terry) Fink.

On June 17, 1949, Albert married Marjorie Abbey Peterson. She survives at the home. He is also survived by two sons, Dale (Cyndi) Fink of Leavenworth and Greg Fink of Canyon Lake, Texas; two daughters, Julia (Joseph) Matzeder of Leavenworth and June (Tim) Mallonee of Platte City, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Albert served in the US Army during World War II. He owned and operated AL's and Bills Radiator shop for many years. Albert always had a huge garden that he loved tending too. He also loved Country Dancing in which he was quite the dancer in his younger days.

He was preceded in death by his son, Alan Fink; a brother, Gerald Fink; two sisters, Evelyn Linaweaver and Regina Aaron; infant children, Theresa, Albert and Sean; grandchildren, Wesley D. Fink, Lindsey L. Fink and Michael Matzeder; and a daughter-in-law, Isabel Fink.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18, 2015, at St. Joseph Church. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, at the church. Burial with military honors will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorials in his name can be made to the Council of Aging or St. Joseph Church. Arrangements in care of R.L. Leintz Funeral Home.
