Mary Anne Gail

Mary Anne Gail, 85, of Leavenworth, passed away, Friday, Oct. 31, 2014, at Country Care Nursing Home, Easton, Kan. She was born on July 24, 1929, in Leavenworth Kan., the daughter of Charles B. and Frances D. (Thiel) Gail.

Mary Anne was a life-long member of St. Joseph Parish and attended St. Joseph grade school. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Ladies Christian Benevolent Association and the Altar Society.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Gail and Anthony Gail; her twin sisters, Martha Anne Aaron; a brother-in-law, Don Aaron Sr.; and a nephew, Donald “Butch” Aaron.

Mary Anne is survived by two sisters, Virginia (Bill) Klasinski and Charlotte Aaron; seven nieces, Gail Doetzl, Virginia (Ray) Pfeiffer, Joan (Jim) Calway, Barbara Schwartz, Phyllis (Steve) Bardot, Pamela (bob) Braun and Janet (Doug) Sprenger; six nephews, Stephen (Susan) Aaron, William (Joann) Klasinski, Frank Aaron, Charles (Kara) Gail, Scott Gail and James Gail; 29 great nieces and nephews; and seven great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation beginning with the rosary will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, November 3, 2014, at St. Joseph Church. Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at the church with Rev. David McEvoy, O.Carm, as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A luncheon will take place after the burial at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home.
