Ronald Eugene Hale

Ronald E. Hale, 55, CPA, Finance Director for the City of Leavenworth, died suddenly and unexpectedly, Thursday, July 2, 2015, at St. John Hospital. He was born on August of 1959, in St. Helena, Calif., the son of Robert and Willita (Erwin) Hale.

He grew up as an Army dependent. He attended Southern Adventist University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s in Science in Accounting. After receiving his CPA license, Capt. Ron became a veteran of the U.S. Army Medical and Finance Corp. While in the Army, Ron earned the Soldier of the Cycle and Expert Field Medical Badge because of his leadership skills. Governmental Accounting was a passion for which he earned State awards. His success can be directly attributed to his faith, honesty, work ethic and good nature.

He loved to travel, scuba, kayak, read and laugh. He chose to devote his life to his family and continued to give of himself through organ donation.

Ron is survived by his wife of 34 years, Dianne; two sons, Jason and Derek, and their wives, Leah and Lindsey; two grandsons, Jacob and Logan; Ron also leaves his parents; two brothers, Rick and Jimmy; and many other family members, inherited children, grandchildren and close friends.

A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in Chattanooga, Tenn., at a later date. Memorials are suggested to American Red Cross.
