June L. Hall

June Louise (Smith) Hall, 90, entered into her eternal rest on Friday, Oct. 9, 2015, at Golden Living Center, Edwardsville, Kan.

June was born on June 7, 1925, a daughter of the late Fredrick and Joyce Smith. She graduated from Ellwood City High School, Ellwood City, Pa., in 1942 and worked administrative jobs until 1949. She married Francis “Fritz” Hall in December 1946. She supported Fritz in his career as a U.S. Army Quartermaster Officer as they traveled the world for 21 years. June loved musical harmony and was a devoted member of local church choirs and also Sweet Adeline chapters for many, many years. June was a very kind and gentle soul; she had a loving and generous heart and was always giving to others.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Sandra Rae in 1954.

She leaves her loving husband, Francis (Fritz) Hall; son, DuWayne Hall of Colorado Springs, Colo., daughter, Victoria Davids; sister, Janice Smith of Pittsburgh, Pa.; brother-in-law Elmer Hall and his wife Betty; sisters-in-law Ella Mae Kimpel and Charlotte Colmery and her husband Samuel. She also leaves loving memories to be cherished by her four grandchildren, Andrew and Frederick Davids and their wives, Rachel Dawson and Amber Hall. She also poured her love and gentle spirit into the lives of her 10 great-grandchildren Jordan, Scott, Victoria, and Cassandra Davids, Noah, Eli, and Lucas Dawson; Trevor, Tyler, and Colin Davids and many nieces and nephews.

A private family service was held at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home, Leavenworth, KS. She was buried in the Leavenworth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association at http://www.alz.org/join_the_cause_donate.asp
