He was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his wife Susan, son Richard (Julie) of Keller, Texas, daughter Keira (Jerry) of Easton, Kansas, seven grandchildren, eight sibling in-laws, numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Cremation has taken place. A Love and Remembrance Dinner for Bill will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 for family and friends in Leavenworth, Kansas. A service will occur in the summer in Wyoming. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to Bikers for Babies, The Fisher House or Wounded Warriors in his name.
