Oliana Dole Lemanua

Oliana Dole Lemanua, was born, Feb. 26, 1939, in Fagatogo, American Samoa to Edwin Arthur Dole and Lemapu Tuku Dole. She was number 10, as mom would say, out of 15 children.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, great aunt, and great, great aunt. Mom was a woman of Faith, full of joy and had a caring heart. She touched many lives with her infectious laugh and smile.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her youngest daughter Dorcas Corena, and nine of her siblings.

She leaves behind her husband of 47 years Pale; her daughters, Marina, Tita and Lemapu; her sister, Amu’ula Dole Nakiso; brothers, Tarzan Dole, Reverend Dallas (Maria) Dole, Ray (Selena) Dole and Burton (Margaret) Dole; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great, great nieces and nephews.

Mom went home to be with the Lord on Aug. 19, 2015. Mom’s visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, August 31, at the funeral home, 4701 10th Street in Leavenworth. Mom will be laid to rest at the Leavenworth National Cemetery. A reception will follow at June’s Northland Restaurant, 614 Pottawatomie in Leavenworth.
