Margaret Rosebelle Lininger

Margaret Rosebelle Lininger, 81, of Easton, died, Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, at her home. She was born Jan. 16, 1935, in Burlington Jct. Mo., the daughter of Riley Byron and Mildred Noreen (Nowels) Smith.

On Nov. 11, 1955, Margaret married Russell Dean Lininger in Clarinda, Iowa. He preceded her in death Jan. 10, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Donald Edwin Smith, Sr.; and her in-laws, Edna and Joe Yocum, Wilbur and Edna Lininger, Bud Totten, George Norris, Donald Lininger and Luella Lininger.

Margaret worked at Woolworth, Hallmark cards and Tom Parrish dealership for 20 years.

She is survived by a brother-in-law, Bill Lininger of San Leon, Texas; two sister-in-law’s, Ruby Totten and Lena (Ron) Rinehart both of Mission, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

Margaret and her husband owned Lininger gun ship in Easton, Kan., since 1967. They were avid hunters, fishermen and campers. Russell and Margaret traveled to Alaska for six months in 2000 with his brother, Donald and Laleatha, and his nephew, Donny and wife, Sue.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 1p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Easton Cemetery.
