Barbara Ann Miller

Barbara Ann Miller, 61, of Leavenworth, died, Monday, Sept. 25, 2017. She was born April 3, 1956, the daughter of Ray H. and Rosemary (Heiler) Miller.

She graduated from Immaculata High in 1974. Barbara then attended Kansas State University receiving a Master’s Degree in Music Education in 1980.

Barbara taught Junior and Senior High School for 17 years in St. Louis. She also worked at Harrah’s Corporation in several different positions, she was a promotional product demonstrator and salesperson and a licensed pharmacy technician.

She spent most of her adult life in the St. Louis, Mo. area before returning to Leavenworth in January of 2016 for medical reasons.

Barbara is survived by four sisters, Marilyn A. Carney of Tucson, Ariz., Nancy S. (Pat) Moran of Leavenworth, Peggy Miller of Leavenworth and Linda M. (Alan) Brugman of Leavenworth; two brothers, Frederick E. (Barbara) Miller of Sunrise Beach, Mo. and Raymond Neill Miller of Las Vegas, N.V.; her longtime partner, Terence Wulff of St. Louis, Mo.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was a member of the St. Louis Symphony. Barbara traveled to Europe many times including, Austria, Russia and Poland. She enjoyed music, canasta, dogs, reading and all things Paul McCartney.

Visitation will be from 12 to 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
