Kenneth "Chub" Richards

Kenneth “Chub”Alfonzo Richards, Sr., 63, of Leavenworth, passed away, Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Golden Living Center in Lansing. He was born April 2, 1950, in Leavenworth, the son of George Earl and Mildred A. (Cavens) Richards.

He married and later divorced, Eartha R. Williams. From this union three sons were born, Kenneth Jr., (Kim) of Leavenworth, James (Cassandra) and Earl (Risa) both of Wichita.

Kenneth attended Leavenworth Public Schools and worked as a auto mechanic and detailing specialist. He loved and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

On Nov. 27, 1986, he married Debbie Williams in Leavenworth. She survives of the home.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Debbie Williams; sons, Kenneth Jr., James, Earl and Fred; his brothers, Marvin “Butch” Richards, Mike (Anita) Richards of Oklahoma City; his sisters, Agnes “Josie” Williams of Chicago, Ill., Gladys “Jenny’Richards-Davis, Mary Hall, Geraldine Giles, Joan Garrett and Carol Richards; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in-law and many loving friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Gail Wimbish and Mildred “Emmie” Wright and three brothers, Hayden Watkins, Norville Watkins and Earl Richards Jr.

“Chub” was truly loved by everyone and will be greatly missed. The Lord blessed and breathed the breath of peace into his soul and now he is at rest.

A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home.
