Patricia Marie Rye

Patricia Marie Rye, 78, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, lost her battle to cancer, Oct. 16, 2016, at her home. She was born Feb. 7, 1938, in Leavenworth, the daughter of Walter and Beatrice (McCaully) Allen.

Pat is survived by her husband, James A. Rye, of the home. She is also survived by a daughter, Linda (Gene) Eldridge of Leavenworth; two sons, Charles (Ushi) Perry of Kansas City, Mo. and Jeremiah Perry of Leavenworth; four brothers, Charles, James, Thomas and Rick; two sisters, Beatrice Herold and Mary Jobes. six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers and a sister.

Pat was a successful business women. She owned and operated two private clubs in Leavenworth, most notable, Pat’s Club on Cherokee street. After retirement, Pat saw a move to Lake of the Ozarks. Building a waterfront home there, she and her husband spent 21 years there full of activities. Her main priority being entertaining her family and friends. It was a most enjoyable time of her life as she balanced “Lake Life” with travel throughout the United States.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 9 a.m. Friday, at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Leavenworth National Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to American Institute For Cancer Research.
