Raietta Taborosi

Raietta Annitha Taborosi, 66, of Leavenworth, passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017 at Lansing Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Feb. 24, 1950, in Bucyrus, Mo., the daughter of Raymond and Marjorie (Miller) Daugherity.

Raietta worked as a civilian employee for the Department of the Army at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and for the FAA at the Salina, Kansas Airport. She left to marry and raise her family.

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Laszlo Taborosi, Jr.: twin son and daughter, Laszlo R. Taborosi and Marci I. Taborosi of the home: her mother, Marjorie Daugherity of Bucyrus, Mo.: her brother, Dell Daugherity and his wife Valerie of Chesterfield, Va.: sister-in-law, Karen Daugherity of West Fork, Ark.: her mother-in-law, Ilona Taborosi: her brother-in-law, Steven Taborosi of New Britain, Conn.: and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father and her brother, Brent D. Daugherity.

Her family would like to Thank all her care givers, nurses and doctors at Lansing Care, St. John Hospital, Providence Medical Center, Munson Army Health Center and KU Cancer Center, for their loving attention to her needs during Raietta’s battle with Melanoma. A special Thanks to all our family and friends for your prayers, visits and delicious meals.

Raietta’s strong faith in God and love of family sustained her with her struggle.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. The rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, at St. Casimir Church. Burial will follow at Leavenworth National Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the National Ataxia Foundation or the Melanoma Research Foundation.
