Rodney Floyd Wallace

Rodney Floyd Wallace, 59, of Leavenworth, died, Tuesday, March 13, 2018. He was born July 1, 1958, in Salina, Kan., the second oldest child of Cecil and Eloise (Lee) Wallace.

He graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1976 and went on to attend The University of Kansas where he studied Engineering. He worked miscellaneous jobs in Lawrence, Kan.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Cecil and Eloise (Lee) Wallace; his brother: Ryan Wallace; his uncle: Eugene Lee; his aunt: Colleen Lee; and both sets of grandparents: Ben and Lula (Lawrence) Wallace and Thomas and Essie (Flowers) Lee.

Rodney is survived by his sister, Felecia (Waddell) Smith of Allen, Texas and brother, Randall (Ada) Wallace of Overland Park.

Rodney was a man who did not waste his words. He was a hard worker, who could fix just about anything. He had a place for everything and everything was always in its place. You could count on him to have his pants ironed, shirt tucked in with a belt. His kind heart and willingness to help others has touched many lives.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mt. Muncie Cemetery.
